Key Account Manager

Overview

Are you a strategic seller with a background in Services? Do you know how to nurture sales from start to finish? Baines Simmons are seeking a Key Account Manager to be based in their friendly Bracknell office. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual with proven success in selling services. As part of our Aviation Safety Academy, you will drive growth and proactively contribute to the development of a global brand.

 

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Business Development, you will be working as part of the Account Team where you will support clients to identify the best solution for their needs from our standard portfolio, delivered via a Public schedule of face to face and virtual courses. Each KAM has a number of Key Accounts and Territory to manage and grow, and it will be down to you to will also uncover opportunities for In-company and Consulting services.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual sales target and actively support Academy team target through consistently high activity rates e.g. call numbers, duration, conversion etc.
  • Professionally handle all in-bound Academy training enquiries (web, email, phone, referrals) within agreed SLAs
  • Proactively manage your sales territory to generate new business leads and develop existing accounts
  • Proactively convert leads generated from marketing campaigns, referrals and events
  • Work with consultants and Product team to intelligently respond to all client enquiries with the most appropriate training solution
  • Ensure our terms of business are consistently applied and payment is received in advance of course attendance
  • Ensure all enquiries are managed through our CRM system Candidate Requirements Ideally applicants will have 2 years’ experience working in a sales environment but we are always willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience within consultative sales
  • Experience using a CRM to record sales and interactions
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and also enjoy working collaboratively as part of a broader team.
  • Good understanding of sales strategy with strong commercial analysis and negotiation skills.
  • Resilience - This is not a 'quick win' sales environment!
  • Dedicated to continuous learning and improvement
